Over a period of time there has been significant investment
in the cold chain and logistical infrastructure. The prepared
lines are processed year round in the high care facility
at the sunripe's main Packhouse located within the specialised
freight area of the Jomo Kenyatta International airport.
All
our Packhouses are certified to BRC Higher Level and also
to process Organic fruit and vegetables.
New
Packhouses in central Kenya (Nyaribo)
and another one in Limuru
for
the packing of avocados have
been developed in order to accommodate larger orders. The
expansion has provided for:
• Higher throughput,
• Greater flexibility for increased product permutations
&
• The inclusion of prepared organic section to the high
care processing hall.
This facility is supported by an increase in processing
equipment, increased coldroom space & blast chiller
facilities.
We
are actively involved in new product development and focus
on value adding processes and customer satisfaction enhancement.
